Minion Blue & Gold

Everyone loves minions and they made the perfect theme for our Cub Scout Blue & Gold Banquet. The evening was a little rushed with a funeral luncheon right before. In fact part of our set up was actually luncheon take down. So grateful there were plenty of people to help. With that being said I didn’t have any time to go around a take pictures of everything before the party started. It is hard to be in charge and take pictures at the same time. Luckily a few other people shared their pictures with me – but I’m still wishing I had more pictures, C’est la vie!

Our scouts helped by making minion center pieces at their den meetings. I loved how different they each were. They made the tables look fabulous.

Of course every party has it’s rules!

After dinner, awards and an Arrow of Light ceremony the kids went wild with our minion games. One of our den leaders made this amazing Ba-na-na toss game, while I got to get crafty and sewed the banana bean bags.

The kids made their own Squid Launchers also. With the force from a rubber band these little things flew about 30 feet. The project definitely need another seamstress and more helpers as the kids flocked to this table, but everything was cut and prepped beforehand. I eve sewed all the head parts – we only needed to sew a straight line across after the kids stuffed them with beans and tentacles.

We had our missing minion game. On the wall was over 50 minions with a twin but a few were missing. The kids had to figure out which 3 minions didn’t have their twin.

And lastly, Minion Bowling.  This isn’t a picture of our game, but similar.
Amy did a fabulous job with the photobooth. One again I’m lacking pictures of any of my scouts here – but what can ya do!

These things are always a lot of work but oh so fun. We had an easy dinner of lasagna, bread and salad with a smorgasbord of blue & gold desserts.
