This was one of those layouts that just didn't come together. I worked way too long on it - just couldn't get it right. I had a lot of pictures to put on it and I don't like it to be too cluttered. After redesigning several times I'm finally happy with it.

Fabulous Party Freebie

Here's a fun freebie for all mothers of a boy. This is not my usual QP freebie but everything you'll need to pull off a successful CARS birthday party. I have included the following invite along with a blank invite, just add the details (then print as a 4x6 photo) .

We went towing at Mater's Tow & Salvage

I hot-glued paperclips to some cheap cars and then the kids towed out as many as they could in one minute with our magnetic tow line (a stick with yarn tied to it and a magnet at the end)

Painting Race Cars

I bought some wooden cars from Michael's Craft (came with the paint and paint brushes). I wish I had opened the package sooner, because they needed to be glued together - so it would have been easier for them if the cars were already assembled. But oh well, they still had fun painting - and then their parents got to figure out putting it all together :)

We also colored pictures of CARS and tried to race some windup cars on the McQueen Speedway, but one car was out of commission. We had a yummy BBQ at Flo's V8 Cafe followed by presents and cake.

Party Favors

The favors were packages of Oreos labeled as Spare Tires. I put three labels to a sheet and had them printed as pictures also. These could easily be printed on your own printer though - I was just out of ink :)

I had labels for different stations - including the bathroom. All the labels are already designed and included!
Here's the cake. I cooked a 9x13 chocolate cake. Froze it so it would cut without falling apart. I cut it in half length-wise, frosted the bottom layer and stacked the other layer on top to make it the shape of a stoplight.

It was a super fun party. I decided that since I spent a lot of web time trying to find everything that I would offer my hard work to the rest of you. In this download you get the invites, the station labels, clipart and coloring pages. You're going to love it and so will all the party-goers!

A Year of Quickpages - SideNote

I've had a few comments about my download of "a year of Quickpages." The resolution appears low and small. These pages were made on a different program - Microsoft PictureIt. They were made as 12x12, 300 dpi and they printed great. I didn't discover until later that they open as a low resolution in PSE. Sorry for the inconvenience. They may work if you use a different program, but they don't work in Photoshop. I've since converted entirely to Photoshop, so there shouldn't be any further problems - EXCEPT that QPs are larger when made in Photoshop so I will probably never be able to offer so many QPs at one time - it would be too big to download.

Gratitude Kit and QP freebie

Veteran's Day is definitely celebrated at our house. My husband was in the Army and both my grandpa's served during wartime. I was surprised to see that Kathy's new kit - Gratitude - has a patriotic color palate, and I couldn't wait to use it.
